In 2008, members of the Waterschap Veluwe caught some brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) in the Geelmolense Beek. The brook trout was introduced to this very water in 1895, and they were still present in the seventies. As no other introductions have taken place between these dates it can be assumed that the brook trout has established itself in this stream. The current status of the brook trout in this stream is unknown, as escapes from a fish farm might be involved.
