During spring 1982 the author and his colleague Mr. D. Kipp, collected rock samples from a quarry of the firm Suhrborg northwest of Bislich in West-Germany. Various rock types have been found from several areas in southern and eastern Germany mainly transported by the rivers Rhein, Lahn, Nahe, Mosel and Main. Also a minor number of rocks from the Baltic area brought in to the area of Bislich by the Saalian land ice. The geology of the area and the rock types found are discussed.
