In this article a discovery of an Ordovician anthaspidellid erratic sponge is reported. It represents a specimen of Archaeoscyphia baltica Van Kempen 1978. The erratic was collected from a sandpit in the neighbourhood of Sibculo, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. In the sandpit arenaceous fluvial deposits of Pleistocene age are exposed. The sponge is completely chertified and originates from the Baltic area.
