The author describes the find of several silicified molluscs from sandpits at Westerhaar and Sibculo (Overijssel, The Netherlands). Mr. A.W. Janssen (Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum, Leiden) identified the various species and supplied notes on stratigraphy, comparing the fauna with equivalent deposits in Belgium. The association described in this paper is dated as Pliocene (Merksemien).
