The Autumn Meeting 1990 was held on September 8 and 9 on the Northern Veluwe, Province Gelderland. The monitoring project was started with the inventarisation of Fagus forests in the Speulderbos and in the Elspeterbos. Among the observed species were Orthotrichum stramineum and Zygodon conoideus, which are rare epiphytes in the Netherlands. On mud of a dried-out shallow pool in the Leuvenumse bos Micromitrium tenerum was found as a species new for the Netherlands. Campylopus brevipilus, a species strongly decreased during the past two decades, was found on heathlands near Staverden and near Tongeren.
