Dr. J. F. Veldkamp (Rijksherbarium, Leiden) was so kind to point out to us, that our new combination Cerastium fontanum Baumg. subsp. holosteoides (Fr.) Salman, van Ommering et de Voogd was incorrect. According to Art. 60 of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature the correct name or epithet is the earliest legitimate one available in the new rank: C. fontanum Baumg. subsp. glabrescens (G. F. W. Meyer) Salman, van Ommering et de Voogd.
