A survey is given of the occurrence of Holosteum umbellatum L. especially on cemeteries in ‘Noord-Limburg’ and ‘Het land van Cuyk’. Old churchyards are functioning as the main refugium of the species. The author found Holosteum in 6 cemeteries and on one location along a road, of which at least three had not yet been recorded in the past. New records seem to be the result of intensified investigation instead of expansion of the distribution. In the cemeteries the species is accompanied by springflowering therophytes, xerophytes and geophytes.
