On October 22 2006 a male and female of Sympecma paedisca were found at Hoogmoor Ringe in Germany, close to the Dutch border (263-517), about 21 kilometres west-south-west of Meppen. These records are in line with the recent expansion in the Netherlands. However, S.paedisca is very scarce in northern Germany and the record is therefore extraordinary.
