Guernsey Centaury (Exaculum pusillum (Lam.) Caruel) has been found for the first time in The Netherlands. The species is declining at the northern limit of its European range. The morphology, nomenclature and ecology are discussed, as well as its phytosociological position, the possible origin of the species and its future in the Netherlands.
