In northern Friesland, on 27 January 2018 an adult Goshawk attacked a juvenile Herring Gull, dragged the gull into a tidal channel and drowned the bird whilst standing on top of it. After the kill, the Goshawk wing-rowed towards the shore, dragging the gull alongside and laboriously pulling the bird ashore. It turned out that the Goshawk was blind on the left side.
