A provisional study has been made of the microfauna of some Dutch Boulder Clays. The localities are given on the accompanying map. The first author determined the Foraminifera, the second the Bryozoa. Many samples appeared to be barren, others contained Upper-Senonian and Danian Bryozoa derived from the Baltic countries, and Upper-Cretaceous, Tertiary and Quaternary ForaminiferaIn their concluding remarks the authors express their expectation that detailed micropaleonto-logical researches on the Dutch Boulder Clays in outcrops and borings will assist in recognizing the directions of ice-movement, besides some sponge-needles, ostracods, echinodernfragments, juvenile brachio-pods and prismatic fragments of Inoceramus shells.
