Description of Tasselia ordam J. DE HEINZELIN, a concretion, occurring in Old Pleistocene layers (Merksemien) in the neighbourhood of Antwerp (Belgium) and a single small outcrop (De Kauter) in the southwestern part of Holland and also occurring in the Western part of the Western Scheldt near Ellewoutsdijk in the Netherlands in an assembly of shells brought together by currents. They consist of fosfate and iron carbonate, sand and glauconite and are supposed to be formed by organisms of the phyllum: Pogonophora. Some particulars of the organization, habitat and mode of living of these animals are mentioned.
