A description and picture is given of the skeleton of the extinct bird Dodo (Raphus cucullatus LINNÉ) of the Isle of Mauritius near Madagascar. Some remarks are given of the possible ways, in which it lived and of relations of it in the neighbourhood. A rather complete skeleton is preserved in the Museum of the Mining department of the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
