New observations in the area south of Enschede show that the movements along the scarps have not only been falling but that important risings with consequent renewed falls have as well taken place along the same fault. After the pressure-phase in which the Gronau anticline had been pressed upwards followed a release of pressure-phase in which elasticity originated. The pressure that lead to the origin of the Gronau anticline and the Losser one has even manifested far into the 'Alstätter Bucht.'
