Middle Westphalian A floras are examined and shortly described. They are collected from the waist dumps (fig. 1) of the closed coalmines Laura and Julia and from a locality above coalseem X Ia (=GB. 11) in the coalmine Julia, situated in the South Limburg coaldistrict of the Netherlands. The floras from the dumps originate, after data from the coalmines Laura en Vereeniging, from coalseem XI (=GB. 12) and for the far greater part from seem X Ia (GB. 11) about 27 m above the Wasserfall-marine-band. Drawings (pl. 1-3) of the main floristic elements are made with the aid of a Wild binocular with a drawing tube.
