Siderite-spherulites in Upper-Cretaceous sediments. Radiate concretions from Upper-Cretaceous sediments (Klei van Hergenrath) of South-Limburg/The Netherlands, have been investigated by microscopy, geochemistry and X-ray analysis. The epigenetic sideritespherulites are most probably formed in a water-logged soil. The spherulite-bearing strata are poor in organic matter.
