A report is presented on the Bryophytes observed during a one day visit to calcareous sand dunes near Noordwijk. Normally, the public has no access to the area visited because of occupation by the Dutch Royal Navy. The moss vegetation appears well established, particularly on north slopes and Sambucus shrubs. Attention is given to red list species as well as to rarely fruiting species. Nearby, a north slope habitat with Rhytidium rugosum and other fine mosses, has been shown to the participants.
