A fossil skullfragment of a walrus ( Odobenus rosmarus L.) fished up from the bottom of the North sea is described. The skull had a double canine (tusk) at the right side. Similar cases concerning recent walruses are mentioned. It appears that this aberration in the dentition of walruses is rather rare.
