This article reports on, and gives short descriptions of an almost complete tusk of the right (?) side of a mammoth, collected in 1994 during dredging operations at Collendoornerveen near Hardenberg, province of Overijssel; and of an incomplete third right upper molar of a mammoth, also collected during dredging, near ‘t Vechterlo, also in the province of Overijssel, several years ago. Otherwise quite untreated samples of each find were used for a 14C absolute age dating at the R.J. van de Graaff Laboratory of Utrecht University, giving as a result of the Collendoorn specimen: 27.580 ± 260 years BP; and of the Vechterlo specimen: 31.900 ± 400 years BP.
