Corallorhiza trifida Châtel. was found in the Netherlands for the first time in the dunes near Bergen in 1902. The author gives numbers of specimens noted during several years, up to 1942. During World War II the species disappeared from the only known locality, and this paper may be considered a kind of necrology of the species in our country.
