The translocation of AT out of leaves of tomato and bean plants has been found to be dependent on light and to be inhibited by HGN. The transport of AT taken up by the transpiration stream was not inhibited by the poison. The concentration of HGN which blocked translocation also inhibited the respiration of stem sections.
