A new record of Dolomedes plantarius (Clerck, 1757), established in the province of Gelderland, is the first one from that province. A single female specimen was found on the vegetation in an ditch in a polder close to the coast of the former Zuiderzee. The known distribution in the Netherlands of this fenland species is shown on a map. The distance to the nearest known locality is 25 km.
