Sandwich Terns were heard migrating SW in Zaandam during the night on 22 July 1991 (22:50-23:05 MEST). The weather was calm, no wind, ground mist, 80% overcast. The ca. 10 terns, including at least 1 juvenile, flew rather low. Inland records are very rare of this species.
