P. spinithoracicum sp. n. (holotype d, allotype 9 and paratypes) from Makokou, Gabon, is described and illustrated. It is compared with P. epiphonematicum Karsch, 1891,d and 9, and is referable to the species group A of P1NHEY (1964, Revla Ent. Mofamb. 7: 5-197).
