During a field trip in spring 1995 (April 8-13), 16 spp. were evidenced from the Rio Guadiana and 4 of its tributaries. Macromia splendens (Pict.), Oxygastra curtisii (Dale) and Orthetrum chrysostigma (Burm.) are recorded for the first time in southern Portugal.
