A propos de Coenagrion mercuriale (Charpentier, 1840) au Maroc (Zygoptera: Coenagrionidae)

A NOTE ON COENAGRION MERCURIALE (CHARPENTIER, 1840) IN MOROCCO (ZYGOPTERA: COENAGRIONIDAE) — Observations on newly collected material from Morocco lead to the conclusion that (1) the distinction of a possible N. African ssp.. C. m. hermeticum (Sel., 1872), would require an extensive statistical analysis of colour variability of the whole sp.; (2) the existence of a southern European ssp.. C. m. castellani Roberts, 1948, remains tentative on the basis of $ abd. app. structure, but its confirmation would likewise require the study of a large number of individuals.
