The 5th South Asian Symposium of Odonatology, Nagpur, India; 20-21 december 1998: a report

The 5th South Asian Symposium of Odonatology was organized on 20-21 December 1998, by the SIO Regional South Asia Council and the Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur, in the framework of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Birth Centenary and the Nagpur University Platinum Jubilee celebrations. It took place in Dr Penjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Hall, Congress Nagar, Nagpur, India. The Inaugural Function was held on 20 December. Honorable Shri Anil Deshmukh, State Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs, was the Chief Guest, and Shri M.S., alias Balasaheb S a p k a 1, Vice President of Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati, presided the Session. Drs A.S. S a t p u t a 1 e y (Chairman of the Nagpur University Platinum Jubilee Organizing Committee)andV.K. Thakare (Emeritus Professor and former Head of the Post-Graduate Department of Zoology, Nagpur) were the Guests of Honour.
