Wat heeft Capsella variegata (Gmelin, 1790) met de portemonnee van een pastoor te maken?

Latin names of genera in malacology and botany incidentally coincide, apart from the authors’ names. Following a previous note on Phaseolus, the genus Capsella is now discussed. Authors of generic names in malacology and botany are rarely the same; where the same author would seem to be involved (Gmelin, Gray) usually close relatives are concerned. Linnaeus and Lamarck would seem to be the only ones that erected genera both in malacology and in botany.
