“Iglica” giustii n. sp. is described from debris of the Isonzo River. The taxonomic position of the new species is discussed in detail, although attribution to the genus Iglica is uncertain due to lack of anatomical details. The presence of other stygobiont Hydrobiidae in Isonzo R. debris is also recorded. Some are new or recently reported for Italy: “ Iglica” hauffeni (Brusina, 1886), Hauffenia (Neohoratia) subpiscinalis (Kuščer, 1932) and Hadziella deminuta Bole, 1961.
