Bithynia tentaculata forma producta Menke, 1828 in a canal close to ’s-Hertogenbosch

During fieldwork performed by students of Helicon institute for vocational education Den Bosch one specimen of Bithynia tentaculata forma producta was found in a canal south of ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. De reason for the great height of the shell is discussed. Because of climate change, more large specimens may be expected in the future.
