Mariene schelpen van Lesbos

Based on shells collected on beaches by the author as well as by Mr. Joop Trausel and finds reported in the literature, an inventory of 339 species of marine molluscs of the Greek isle of Lesbos has been drawn up. Recently Lesbos has been a favourite ‘stepping stone’ for refugees trying to illegally enter the European Union. Now this route virtually has been blocked Lesbos can again be recommended as an interesting destination for those interested in Mediterranean sea shells.
