Op zoek naar slakken in het nationaal natuurreservaat van Karlštejn (Tsjechië)

On the 22nd of August 2017 the author visited the national nature reserve of Karlštejn in the Czech Republic. This is the largest protected reserve of the Bohemian Karst. Most likely due to the presence of limestone and a wide variety of biotopes, 29 different mollusc species were found including two slugs and one freshwater species. The area had been examined earlier for snails by Podroužková et al. (2015) who reported 89 different species. However, two species found on the 22nd of August 2017 were not mentioned in that report i.e., the slug Arion rufus/vulgaris and the freshwater gastropod Potamopyrgus antipodarum.
