Shells from discarded fishing nets collected during the 2016 Dutch expedition to clean the North Sea. Report on the Brown ridge in the southern part of the North Sea part II. A growth series of Trivia monacha (Da Costa, 1778)
Spirula , Volume 421 p. 18- 19
The foundation ‘Duik de Noordzee Schoon’ (‘Clean the North Sea through Diving’) organises the removal of fishing nets from shipwrecks. Some of these nets collected in 2016 on the Brown ridge were transferred to Scheveningen harbour and inspected there for molluscs by members of the Netherlands’ Malacological Society. A report on all shells collected was published by the author earlier in 2019. In this second part a growth series of the Trivia species collected is highlighted.
