Morlina glabra (Rossmässler, 1835), een nieuwe landslak voor Nederland

Alerted by a message from the Belgian malacologist Louis Bronne specimens of Oxychilus spec. collected along the river Maas and the Julianakanaal channel in the south of the Netherlands (province of Limburg) were re-examined for the presence of Morlina glabra (Rossmässler, 1835). In retrospect this species proved to be collected already in 2018 and 2020 in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The species is distinct from the population of Oxychilus navarricus helveticus (Blum, 1881) reported from the outer dyke of the Julianakanaal in Illikhoven in 2019.
