Montacuta substriata (Montagu, 1808) on the Oyster Grounds

Prior to the present paper Montacuta substriata had only once been mentioned in the literature concerning the Dutch part of the North Sea. We record two specimens recovered from the Oyster Grounds on 25 March 2021. We argue that the lack of records may be due to the small maximum size of the species and its brittle shells.
