The fossil birds from Corbeddu cave, Sardinia are described. The avifauna is characterised by: (1) the presence of at least one extinct endemic owl, Bubo insularis, (2) an overrepresentation of birds of prey, (3) a great number of phalanges of the claw of the Golden Eagle Aquila chrysaetos, probably brought into the cave by men.
