This paper gives some additions to the annotated list of all known strandings and catches of bottlenose dolphins Tursiops truncatus from the coast and coastal waters of the Netherlands between 1754 and 2001 (Kompanje 2001). One catch dating back to c. 1585 and three new strandings (in 1930, 1963 and 1964) became known and are added to the list. Of two strandings (in 1922 and 1927), skeletal material that was reported lost in Kompanje (2001) was rediscovered and was added to the list and the collection of the Natuurhistorisch Museum Rotterdam. Since the last record in 1991 (case 184 in Kompanje 2001) and until 1 December 2005, no more strandings or catches of bottlenose dolphins from the Netherlands are know.
