Drentse vogels , Volume 14 - Issue 1 p. 23- 24
De Provinciale Groninger Couranf, a local newspaper, recorded two observations of Pallas's Sandgrouse in November 1863. One female was shot near Finsterwolde (Groningen) and a male was shot near Beilen (Drenthe). Both records fit the pattern of the irruption in 1863-64, but were not described in local avifaunas.
