Two new odonate records for the Western Himalaya, India (Anisoptera: Macrodiplactidae, Libellulidae)

Recently, while studying the odonate assemblage of Asan Reservoir, a man-made water body (surface ca 4 km2) in the western Dehra Dun Valley (cf. A. MITRA, 1996. Ann. Forestry, Dehra Dun 4[2]: 139-144), I came across 2 species that were not previously recorded from the Western Himalaya (cf. e.g. A. KUMAR & M. PRASAD, 1981, Rec. zooi. Sure. India [Mise. Pubi. occ. Pap.] 20: 1-118). These are brought on record here. The specimens will be deposited in the National Zoological Collection, maintained by Northern Regional Station, Zoological Survey of India, Dehra Dun.
