Littorina neritoides petraea (Mont., 1803) until 1949 a very rare species in Holland, has been found in many living specimens on the dike of Den Helder, the Pier of IJmuiden and on a little pier near Callantsoog (North of Petten). Some remarks are given on the ecology of this species.
