Trichomonas bij een jonge Bruine Kiekendief Circus aeruginosus

A Marsh Harrier nest in the southwestern Netherlands contained four chicks on 11 June 2018, ranging from 2 to 8 days old. On 2 July, only two chicks remained, the youngest two of four. The chicks were ringed and wing-tagged. The youngest showed traces of yellow caseous material in the beak. It was treated with Belga Magix on 3 and 4 July. During a nest visit on 7 July, the lesion was somewhat reduced with a darker colour; the chick was very lively and alert. On 26 July, it was first seen flying, and again on 29 July when it begged food from the passing male (the female of this nest was not seen anymore after 2 July, the ringing date of the chicks).
