A permission to hunt geese with a Golden Eagle was successfully disputed in court. According to the law, hunting is only allowed with Peregrine and Goshawk. Moreover, the falconer had not been asked to provide insight in the origin of the bird (which later was said to have been bred in captivity). As governmental tasks are increasingly being delegated to regional authorities, it is to be feared that more mistakes will be made in the near future, especially regarding the complicated laws dealing with nature conservation.
