Some results are presented of an inventory of the soil fauna of a limestone grassland “Roodbom” , part of De Piepert near Eys, province of Limburg, the Netherlands. The methods used comprised pitfall trapping and sweeping. The present report deals with the spiders and harvestmen. Significant correlations between vegetation-type and fauna composition could be confirmed by multivariate analyses. Some relatively rare spider species are highlighted.
