A checklist of the halacarid mites of the Netherlands (Acari: Halacaroidea) Few papers have been published on the Dutch Halacaroidea, mites predominantly living in sea. Thus far, only twelve species have been reported. This paper adds another 13 species to the Dutch list. These new data are from material mainly collected by J.H. Stock and M. Bilio. More detailed analyses of freshwater and shores and shallows of the Dutch coastline may result in recovery of another 25 halacarid species.
