During the excursion (see also Coesel's contribution in this issue) 116 taxa were recorded. Apart from Xanthidium fasciculatum, only a few rare species were found, possibly related to the still relatively high nutrient availability, the pioneer character and possibly also as a result of the regular drying out of the puddles in recent years. A taxonomically unclear taxon was a large Pleurotaenium, resembling both P. ehrenbergii and P. maximum.
