In March 2021, two female Sparrowhawks were recorded with a Woodcock as prey in Kennemerland (western Netherlands), i.e. on 5 March near Heemskerk and on 20 March in the dunes near Castricum. This region was covered by snow from 7-14 February 2021, but Woodcocks remained in the area through March.
