Gyraulus parvus (Say, 1817), a new species for the Dutch fauna.

During a survey of aquatic molluscs, in September 2008, the ramshom Gyraulus parvus (Say, 181 7) was found in a ditch in the vicinity of the village of Afferden (province of Gelderland). This is the first observation of the species in The Netherlands. Seven life specimens were collected in the stagnant fresh water habitat, together with Physella acuta, Radix ovata and Pisidium sp. Co-ordinates of the location are: 51 ° 52 ' 34.38" north latitude and 05° 38' 07.74" eastem longitude.
