Land snails from Suriname: a fresh start in an old tradition
Spirula , Volume 368 p. 75- 77
Dutch collections of Suriname land snails will be digitalized, in the context of a project with a broader aim. A parallel taxonomic revision has begun, which should also involve an analysis of the biogeography. This work stands in a Dutch tradition of attention for the malacofauna of this country (a former colony), which started in 1914 with Vernhout’s overview.
