Lauria in an egg capsule of the Whelk in Bakkum (North Holland)

A specimen of Lauria (Lauria) cylindracea cylindracea was found in an egg capsule of Buccinum undatum on the beach of Bakkum (province of Noord Holland, the Netherlands). This observation confirms Lauria’s apparent expansion in distribution in the Netherlands over the past few years.
