A mixed population of two clausilid species near Monnickendam

During fieldwork carried out in the wake of the “Atlasproject of Dutch Molluscs” a mixed population of two clausilid species, Alinda biplicata and Clausilia bidentata, was found on the property of a former sawmill and wooden shoe factory in Monnickendam. Clausilia bidentata has to be considered a very rare species in that part of North-Holland, the Netherlands.
